Watermelon Smoothie Nutrition and Health Benefits

Even though watermelons are low in most vitamins and minerals, they are a good source of beta-carotene and vitamin C.

Red fleshes Watermelons have more lycopene than tomatoes, which is a nutrient thought to protect against prostate cancer.

Watermelons contain two fascinating nutrients which are found in abundance mainly in the edible rind, citrulline, and arginine.

Citrulline has been shown to boost immune system, heart health, and helps with weight loss and type 2 Diabetes.

Arginine removes toxins from the body, boosts nitric oxide which helps relax blood vessels and can treat and prevent erectile dysfunction (more).

On the other hand, the health benefits of lime are numerous and include weight loss, improved digestion, enhanced immunity, reduced respiratory disorders, and relief from constipation.

Lime is also used in the treatment of peptic ulcer, piles, scurvy, gout, and gums.

Lastly, it also aids in skin care, hair care, and eye care and may help lower the risk of developing cancer.
