Meatball Recipe: Easiest Method

Meatballs are ground/chopped/minced meat shaped mixed with other ingredients and shaped into small balls. These comfort foods are usually enjoyed alongside any delicious meal.

Meatballs can be prepared in various ways: Swedish/Italian/polish/Dutch/Spanish/Turkish/and even Nigerian meatballs, meatballs with pasta, crock pot meatballs,  spaghetti, and meatballs, or even used as appetizers or dippers!

Meatball recipe can be made in just 2 easy steps. Mix and mold. That’s all. Homemade meatballs are so easy to prepare. This meatball recipe can be seasoned in any way you like, or just prepared plain. Also, you can use any mince meat of choice be it ground pork/ground chicken/turkey or a combination of any of those meats.

There is not a lot of seasoning in this recipe because the meatballs can be used to cook other foods. Enough of the long story let’s get started already.

Meatball Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • ½ cup bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup onion (minced)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper

Directions

  1. First of all, get all the ingredients together.
  2. Then, combine the beef stock, eggs, and the breadcrumbs in a medium-sized bowl together and leave it for about 15 to 20 minutes so that the breadcrumbs can soak up the stock.
  3. Now, mix the breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, and salt together and mix gently with your hand until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  4. Finally, form this mixture into small golf ball size meatballs about 1-inch in diameter and place on a broiler pan or a pan with sides topped with a wire rack.

PLEASE NOTE;

Bonding Agents

The eggs and breadcrumbs work as bonding agents to aid the meatballs keep their shape in order.

Do Not Over Combine/Mix:

In order words, the ploy to having tender and juicy meatballs is by not over mixing when you combine the ingredients. Excess mixing makes them tough so when making this meatball recipe, mix just until combined!

Measurement Matters:

Making sure the meatballs are the same size also helps in cooking at the same rate.

HOW TO COOK MEATBALLS

Above all, meatballs can be cooked at home in a variety of ways from pan frying to dropping them into boiling soup or sauce or baking them in the oven.
