If all else fails, you must eat. This is autonomous consumption, and it is not negotiable.

It’s no surprise that, as the economic downturn deepens, Nigerians have found comfort in the combo of bread and beans menu.

It has the potential to last a long time and is reasonably inexpensive. Food vendors and eateries have increased the number of beans and bread they prepare for the day.

This Nigerian food is wonderful, scrumptious, and accessible. When I remembered the bread and butter with beans menu, my vision for making Nigerian food amazing came back to life.

Just occurred to me now that this would be a good method to convince the kids to eat beans because it resembles sausage buns

Simply telling the youngsters that they will grow tall is typically enough to get them to eat beans.

I tried the bread rolls with other variations such as:

  • Bread and butter
  • Bread and tea
  • Egg and Bread
  • Bread and butter pudding
  • Coffee and Bread
  • Bread and Akara for breakfast
  • Bread and wine

I also used lukewarm beans that were thick enough to prevent the sauce from leaking through.

Fresh bread works best because it rolls out flat and tighter.

When I brought these bread rolls to work, I received so many compliments that I felt compelled to share this serving concept.

Bread Bean Recipe: Beans porridge and bread

Ingredients

  • Beans porridge:
  • 3 cups beans
  • 1big onion bulb
  • 2 tbsp pepper
  • 2cooking spoon of red oil
  • Seasoning to taste
  • Spices of choice
  • Smoked fish

Method

  • Firstly, wash the beans, and then add the water and onions to the pot on the burner.
  • After that, when the beans begin to soften, add the remaining ingredients and cook on medium heat until everything is mushy.
  • Then add the palm oil, mix well, and turn off the fire.

Enjoy with your favorite really soft bread, such as Agege bread.

Directions

  • Firstly cook the beans according to the package directions for the specified amount of time, and then slice the bread.
  • After that, enjoy with a dollop of sour cream! In a typical lunch meal, I consume ½ can and 1/8 of a loaf of bread per lunch which costs around $1!

It’s good for my gut health, low sodium, and cultured sour cream

Side Effects

Food Allergies or Sensitivities: If you’re lactose intolerant or allergic to casein, try the beans and bread without the sour cream.
